Napoleon is one of the most recognized figures in history. This episode entails my notes and determinations on what made Napoleon excel further, faster, and to a greater degree than his contemporaries. I lay out his characteristics and seek to transfer his techniques and strategies into a format that is actionable by modern individuals.
Primary research came from 'Napoleon: A Life' by Andrew Roberts. Additional research came from the writings of various aides serving under Napoleon during his reign as Emperor of France.

We've all heard some version of the Mayflower voyage, its peculiar passengers, and the life they started in America—this episode presents a detailed history of the pilgrims as described by William Bradford, governor of Plymouth Colony. Viewing the events through the eyes of the pilgrims, I take a hard look at the mindsets and tools that allowed them to withstand religious persecution in England, harsh living conditions in Holland, and a brutal first year in America.
Research for this episode came from several books, including Bradford's own 'Of Plimoth Plantation' and 'Mayflower' by Nathaniel Philbrick.

In this episode, I go over a brief summary of the events that followed Lafayette's arrival in America. I also include the key takeaways from his early military career, highlighting the events of the Battle of Brandywine which first signaled the major role he would come to play in the American revolution.
